School Story:

1964-65 -- Whitman College.
1965-69 -- US Air Force -- photojournalist Texas, broadcaster Thailand.
1969-74 -- Radio Deejay -- Seattle, Memphis, Oregon, California.
1975-82 -- Ad agency producer, radio station sales--Detroit.
1982-84 -- Tampa -- finished BA at USF, adopted Jamie.
1984-89 -- UW Law School -- JD degree, passed bar, never practiced.
1986 to present -- Free lance voice and on-camera talent Seattle.

Favorite memory: Our 17-and-under Des Moines Fieldhouse basketball team playing the McNeil Island Federal Penitentiary inmate team. I remember getting in a jump ball with this American Indian who was about 6'4" and weighed around 300 pounds and the inmates were yelling, "Go, peanut, go!" Can't remember if I won the toss, but I do remember that thanks to a fast break at the buzzer by Dale Falk we beat them by one point--their only loss in the last 10 years.

Comments:

The secret to happiness? Lowered expectations. Better yet, no expectations.

What are the moments or achievements you are proudest of--both in high school and afterwards?

My son, Jamie M Cissell, his wife Kaitlin Cissell, and their daughter Aubrey Mia Cissell born 9/29/18.
Talking Linda Kaye Johnson into marrying me.
Finishing law school.
Our law school football team, Condon Dictum, going undefeated for 3 years in the UW IMA Cascade League, and playing for the championship in Husky Stadium the 3rd year.
Running a successful business www.voiceguy.com for 33 years.
Contributing to various charities.
Occasionally making people laugh--though more often making them groan.
Having the best friends in the world.

What were some of your most embarrassing moments--both in high school and afterwards?

Asking only one girl one a date during our high school years, then finding out later she didn't even remember the date. I've tried to make up for it since.

Happy Birthday, Paul. Try to stay out of trouble for at least one day. And don't forget, it's your sister's birthday.

I'm glad you're through with the pain, Joe. Thanks for sitting with us at the 50th Reunion. If the old gang all ends up in the same place, and I pray we do, look us up for a game of hearts--and laughing so hard we make milk come out of Ross Okawa's nose.
