Larry Martini passed peacefully in his sleep on February 16, 2022. But how he got there was anything but peaceful. On January 22nd he was attending a friend’s birthday/retirement party. While carrying two suitcases from his vehicle, he lost his balance, fell over backwards, hit his head on a truck bumper, split open his skull, and fractured several vertebrae, so they rushed him to Tacoma General Hospital for surgery. The surgery went well, but while in the hospital, he caught Covid, got pneumonia, and then suffered a stroke--which was the immediate cause of death. Those of you fortunate enough to know Larry, know what a tragedy this is.
In loving memory, Jim Cissell and the Big 4.

Larry was my best friend, along with Tom Dezutter and Rich Schlecht. We called ourselves the Big4, which meant a lifetime of the closest friendships you could imagine. Larry married my cousin Peggy and our Big4 get togethers were family affairs and often included other classmates.  Saying we'll miss him doesn't come close to the loss and grief we feel. Love you Larry.  God Bless!

What an awful freak accident. We'll miss Larry at our committee meetings and gatherings. What a sweet fellow to be taken from us. Sherilyn (Carroll) Myhre
